Darnell Place-Wise

Darnell has served the professional development industry for over 10 years. She is responsible for seeking out, developing and maintaining client relationships, acting as a thought leader with and for the client organization and managing all aspects of client deliverables.

Prior to joining Executive Core, Darnell was a member of the Lore International Institute sales team for a total of eight years as a Client Solutions Director. She developed business for Lore in a variety of industries, including EMBA programs for various Universities, Engineering & Construction, Oil & Gas, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Healthcare and Life Sciences, & Food and Agriculture.

Darnell has extensive experience in business—both as an entrepreneur and as a manager within a large corporation. She is a seasoned, self-motivated, and goal oriented sales and training professional with 15 years experience in the field.

Prior to joining the professional services industry Darnell was with MCI WorldCom, where she held various positions, beginning as a telemarketing representative and quickly advancing to administrator, project manager, and training manager. She managed 75 people in sales, training, quality, and administration, and was responsible for coordination and follow-through of the Training and Quality departments while opening three new call centers. On the financial side, she maintained a multi-million dollar budget for the outsourcing division of Sales and Service, prepared quarterly and yearly forecasts, and presented, reviewed, and defended these forecasts to the director.

Darnell also is an entrepreneur who took a year off to open and operate a specialty retail store focused on gluten-free and allergen-free foods. Overseeing a retail business calls for great attention to detail – and managing and paying attention to details are considered two of Darnell’s greatest strengths.
